2. UNIVERSITIES AND INSTITUTES

For students who wish to specialise in European Union law, I recommend the following institutes:

2.1. European Union Law

The European University Institute of Florence: Its PhDs are widely considered to be the best in the field. Its courses are taught in English and French.

The College of Europe (Bruges): Over the years, this renowned college has trained many of those teaching in universities across Europe.

The Collegio Europeo in Parma: Founded in 1988, this institute of higher education trains young European graduates in the fields of law, economics and European Union politics.

The Institut d’études européennes de l’ULB (Brussels): Its courses are taught, in French, by professors and professionals specialising in European affairs.

2.2. International and Comparative Law

In the US, the best Universities are: Stanford, Harvard, Yale, NYU, Columbia, Princeton, Chicago, UCLA, Cornell, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.

2.3. International and Comparative Labour Law

Ph.D. programme - 3 years - Fondazione Marco Biagi (Modena): Its courses are taught in Italian and English.

LLM - Università di Tilburg (The Netherlands).
